A taste of autumn with florist Lisa Thalmayr
In this article we show you what creative store designs for autumn can look like. We invited Salzburg's own florist and artist, Lisa-Maria Thalmayr, to share her autumnal ideas for flower shops and retail spaces. With a lot of creativity and love, Lisa has created an original, pure and natural ambience. It's a delightful contrast to the usual 08/15 autumn decorations.

The Autumn Concept 2023: «Authentic Autumn"
The trend towards more nature, the original and the unprocessed is now reflected in a wide range of products on offer. More people are looking for products with identifiable origins. From handcrafted furniture made from natural wood to natural foods and unprocessed organic cosmetics, the beauty of the natural and the authentic is appreciated. These products convey a sense of authenticity and sustainability.
"RAW" collection at the heart of "Authentic Autumn"
To further embrace the trend for nature and originality in our STYLIT floristry line, we have developed the «RAW» collection. Reflecting our values of naturalness and sustainability, this series stands for "Regional Authentic Wool".
This is a range of products that conveys a raw, rustic and deep connection with nature. It is for this reason that we have made our "RAW" products the focus of our "Authentic Autumn" store design.
Realising "Authentic Autumn"
Based on these cornerstones and basic ideas, Lisa has developed a creative autumn design:
The hay wall design alone creates an autumnal feeling. Hay and hay bales are also used in the rest of the sales area.
Lisa also adds a ceiling hanging element: an autumnal loop of white RAW cord around metal rings, decorated with dried flowers and grasses.
On a metal table with a wooden top, Lisa presents her autumn creations, using unusual flowers and grasses and planters made from "RAW" wool. Wrapped in wool cord or covered with felt pieces of various sizes, the result is a uniform look.
Wood and metal: Lisa presents wool felt decorated with ears of corn in an old rusty metal shed. Wooden crates are used as pedestals and to display the goods.
"The revival of the dried flower trend is very exciting. Unlike the 80s, it's all about free forms. Here's the tip: less is more. The combination of 3 materials is a sacred rule."

The "Authentic Autumn" floral concept is designed to inspire you to think outside the box. Like any concept, it is just a starting point for you to enrich, interpret, change and adapt with your own ideas.
In this way, it can be used as a backdrop to showcase even the classic colours and pieces of autumn in a stylish way. For example, you can incorporate the classic orange into this natural look and feel. Or you can focus on All Saints' Day with lots of green and purple in this nature-loving design.
