Spring is a wonderful time of year when nature comes back to life and everything glows in bright colours. One way to bring the beauty of spring into your flowershop or own home is to use fresh accents and decorations.

The colours light yellow, grey, mint green and loden green fit perfectly into the spring picture and give every room a fresh and friendly ambience. Especially, the combination of these colours can create a pleasant atmosphere and convey the feeling of freshness and lightness. The STYLIT wool cord "Dochtfaden" is a particularly versatile material that is ideal for DIY projects. Due to its softness and fluffiness, the STYLIT wool cord "Dochtfaden" is particularly easy to work with and gives butterflies, dragonflies and bees that certain something.

Step by Step

Step 1: Prepare template

First, take your larger round object and place it on a piece of cardboard. Then trace this round shape. Place the smaller object in this circle and trace it as well. Next, you can cut out the cardboard at the marks so that you have a ring. You can then cut the ring in the middle, so that you have two half moons.

Step 2: Wrap around circle

Now take your wool cord "Dochtfaden" in the colour of your choice and wrap it several times around the semicircle until the whole box is no longer visible.

Step 3: Cut the ring

Once the ring is wrapped, knot the wool cord "Dochtfaden" with the two ends. Now take a pair of scissors and cut the thread at the upper edge. Make sure that you hold on to the bottom so that the individual threads do not fall apart.

Step 4: Tie the wool cord "Dochtfaden" together

When everything is cut, take a short thread and tie the individual wool cord "Dochtfaden" together.

Step 5: Attach the Pom-Pom

Once you have fixed everything, you can flatten the finished pom-pom a little on one side. This makes it easier to attach it to the template. Use a hot glue gun and stick the wool pom-pom onto the template. And it's ready to fly!

Done!

Let your creativity run wild and make as many wool pom-poms butterflies, dragonflies and bees as you like! The more you make, the more colourful and lively your decoration will be. Attach the butterflies to branches or plants. They can also be used outside to create a cheerful and inviting atmosphere.

Templates for printout

For your little fluffy butterflies, dragonflies and bees, here are some printable templates to help you achieve the perfect result.

In colour
The first template is already designed in colour and can be used immediately. This saves time and offers a quick way to start crafting straight away. The coloured template also ensures that the colour combinations and proportions of the butterfly are harmonious and balanced.

In black and white
The second template is black and white and offers more possibilities for individual design. You can use the template as a drawing template and trace it on coloured paper to create your own colour combinations. Another option is to colour in the template to customise the animals.
