Let yourself be enchanted by the STYLIT Dreamer felt with real goose feathers this Easter. Present your guests with a dining table that truly looks like it's been made from scratch. The STYLIT Dreamer felt in brown and white is perfect for taking this decoration to its own level: Because it doesn't always have to be colourful at Easter. This composition with pure sheep's wool felt, real eggs, bulbs and flowers will put you and your guests in the perfect Easter mood.

The real goose feathers give the craft project that certain something and provide an incomparable feeling of nature. They give this unusual table decoration the perfect Easter touch and, in combination with the rest of the utensils, create an atmospheric ambience. This is how you give your home that certain something at Easter.

Step by Step

Step 1: Laying a chessboard

Cut several lengths of felt in alternating colours to match the length of your table. In this example, Bettina used three strips 15 cm wide each: White - Brown - White, so the chequerboard pattern comes out very well. The number and length of the felt strips depends on the size of your table. Now cut the short cross panels to size by laying them on the long main axes. Here, too, change the colours one panel at a time.

Step 2: Braiding and fixing the felt panels

Start with a brown cross piece and "braid" it with the main axes: Place the short piece on the left under the main axis, in the middle over the main axis and on the right under it again. Now take a white cross piece and "braid" exactly the other way round: on the left over the main axis, in the middle under it, on the right over it. Fix the cross piece to each main axis with a small dab of hot glue so that it can no longer slip out of place.

Step 3: Decorate goose eggs

By laying and fixing the chequerboard pattern, pockets have been created. So that these can be filled in an Easter way, we prepare the goose eggs: Take the blown out eggs and wrap them with white and brown wool cords. The colour of the cords used here matches the felt exactly and thus looks very coherent. The lurex thread in the cord adds a little something extra.

Step 4: Fill chessboard pockets

Let the decorated eggs peek out of the felt pockets and place a handful of flower bulbs in the pockets here and there. For green spring accents, put flowers in one pocket or the other: you can use baby's breath or silk tulips without water tubes. If you choose fresh tulips, hide the water tube in the pockets.
