Material and Colours

mocha brown BR05

delicate whiteness of the flowers

Sand brown BR56

maroon BR49

The warm earthy tones of mocha brown, sand brown and maroon combined with the bright white and green accents give this Easter nest a natural and harmonious effect. The colours symbolise a renewal of spring and create a cosy atmosphere that is perfect for Easter.

The soft Chunky Wool "Lunte" made from 100% real virgin sheep's wool not only looks super fluffy, it also feels that way and so does your Easter nest. With the STYLIT " Smartfaden" you can also add some structure to the Chunky Wool. If you keep both in soft brown tones, such as mocha brown and sandy brown, your nest will blend in perfectly with nature. As an alternative to Chunky Wool, you can also use our "RAW" wool cord.

Fresh orchids and roses in delicate shades of white and beige complete the spring-like picture of your Easter nest. You can also get creative with Easter eggs and feathers.

Step by Step

Step 1: Wrap everything around

The first thing to do is: Wrap! Wrap your Chunky Wool "Lunte" with the "Smartfaden". Make sure there is always some space in between and that the Chunky Wool stays nice and fluffy. Alternatively, you can also use the "RAW" wool cord. Then take your basket frame, put a little glue in the middle and start winding your "Lunte" around it in waves.

Step 2: Wrap and glue

Whenever you are at a branch of your wickerwork frame, take your hot glue strip and stick the knitting wool "Lunte" to it. This way, nothing can slip and the Easter nest will stay in place.

Step 3: Fix Chunky Wool

When you have reached the top of your "Lunte", cut it off and glue the end to your basket. Make sure you let the wool run a little inside and glue it there. This will keep your basket clean on the outside and you won't see any traces of glue.

Step 4: Prepare the bowl

Now take your small decorative bowl and your hot glue gun. Go around the bowl once with the glue.

Step 5: Attach the felt

Cut the plain felt into a strip about 2 cm long. Attach it to the top of your decorative bowl where you have previously spread the glue.

Step 6: Fasten in the basket

Next, place your decorative bowl in your Easter nest. It doesn't have to be right in the middle. In this case, it might even look a little more exciting if you place it slightly offset.

Step 7: Decorate

The last step is to decorate. Again, you can let your creativity run free and place the flowers in the wet sponge as you like. Add your white, blown-out eggs and the feathers. And the Easter nest is perfect.
