Looking for a simple idea to decorate flower pots and impress your customers? We have just the thing for you! In this post, we'll show you how to cover a simple flower pot with woollen felt. The soft pink of the felt adds a playful and romantic touch to your flowerpot. Imagine having several of these pots in your window or shop, they will make a lovely feature for your customers.
There are many shades to choose from, from pale pink to vibrant fuchsia. With the STYLIT "Franzi" felt you can let your creativity run free and create a flower pot cover that not only looks delicate but also feels delicate. Alternatively, you can also use the STYLIT Felt single color in plain pink. Both are made from 100% pure sheep's wool and are very soft.
Step by step
Step 1: Cut the felt
For your delicate flowerpot cover, first lay out your STYLIT "Franzi" felt and cut it into squares of equal size. Make sure that the length of the sides of the square matches the height of your flowerpot.
Step 2: Glue the corners together
Now take your hot glue gun and glue the opposite corners of your felt squares together. A small dab of glue is all you need.
Step 3: Glue the felt corners together
Wrap your felt once around the pot and glue it down. Now take all your little felt corners and glue them together in a row. Stick them around the pot. Make sure there are no gaps.
Step 4: Decorate
Now form three small hearts next to each other with your STYLIT Thread and tie them together in the middle. The wire in the thread makes it easy to bend and keeps the shape of the three-leaf clover.
Step 5: Nearly there!
Now insert your heart cloverleaf into your flower stem. You can get a nicer effect by placing it on the side rather than in the middle.
Step 6: Finishing touches
Now you can put the finishing touches to your felt corners or nudge your cloverleaf into the perfect shape. Your pale pink flowerpot cover is finished.
