Materials and colours
The ROOTS trend impresses in its version with a strong colour palette that picks up on the elements of nature. Warm browns, soft earthy tones and muted blues create an atmosphere that radiates both cosiness and originality. These colours capture the raw beauty of nature and give every design a timeless, authentic look.
Michaela uses the materials of the ROOTS trend in a particularly harmonious way for her table decorations. She chooses the grey RAW" sheep's wool felt as a base, whose rough structure and soft feel provide a natural foundation and emphasise the earthy concept of the trend. This is complemented by a coarse Jutewhose light colour and texture add a rustic touch. The Macramé yarn in warm natural colours is added as a decorative element and brings additional naturalness to the table decoration thanks to its structure. The arrangement is rounded off by the skilful combination of branches and flowers in earthy tones, like the Coral flower, das Chinese reed and Ranunculuswhich provide vibrancy and depth through their natural shape and colouring.
The mixture of natural materials and muted colours emphasises the deep connection with nature, which forms the heart of the ROOTS trend box in the bold colours.
Step by step
Step 1:
Glue cans together
Take four tins and arrange them in a 2×2 pattern. Use a hot glue gun to firmly connect the cans together. Make sure that all the openings point in the same direction.
Step 2:
Wrap with felt
Then take the "RAW" sheep's wool felt and wrap it carefully around the tins. Fix the felt with hot glue to securely fasten it.
Step 3:
Fasten jute
Wrap the jute around the arrangement several times and knot the ends tightly together. Repeat this step with the macramé yarn. Optionally, you can roll a piece of macramé yarn into a scroll and attach it next to the knot.
Step 4:
Fill with branches
and insert them into the openings of the jars.
This creates natural, decorative struts,
that enliven the look of the arrangement.
Step 5:
Decorate with flowers
Finish off the arrangement with some coral flowers, Chinese reeds and ranunculus to add colour and vibrancy.
Voilà!
The rustic table decoration is ready
With these simple steps, you have created a charming and natural table decoration that impresses with its rustic elegance.
