Colours and materials

The colour palette 1 of the ROOTS trends is characterised by its earthy and natural nuances. Intense and dominant colours such as the deeply saturated brown create a Calming effect for the eye, as they reflect the natural earthy tones. At the same time, however, they also convey Vibrant energy and dynamism.

Krisztián uses the ROOTS 1 trend box's powerful brown-coloured RAW" woollen cord and skilfully combines them with colour-coordinated elements such as orange-coloured or green flowersto create a striking contrast. The targeted use of different flower textures and shapes is particularly noteworthy. Here he draws on flowers such as Amaranthus, cartilage carrot, dahlias, scabiosa, orchids, white ferns and delicate, curved branches back.

True to the Guiding principle of closeness to nature the ROOTS trend is rooted in authentic colour nuances and materials.

Step by step

Step 1:
Wrap woollen cord around polystyrene

Carefully wrap the woollen cord "RAW" around the polystyrene ring, making sure that there are no gaps. Tie the cord tightly to ensure even coverage. Then use a needle to fix the beginning and end of the woollen cord and make sure they are securely fastened.

Step 2:
Drape branches and wire

The next step is to attach the curved decorative branches using a hot glue gun. Deliberately let the branches hang over the ring to create a loose and relaxed overall look. The wire is then inserted into the polystyrene ring to provide a stable base for the cut flowers.

Step 3:
Arranging flowers and grasses

The basic structure created with the wire makes it easier to skilfully arrange the cut flowers. Start by threading the larger flowers through the free spaces. Then fill in the remaining space with the smaller flowers and grasses.

Step 4:
Placing orchids

In the final step, attach the orchid flowers to the arrangement using floral glue. To give the overall look a relaxed touch, position the branches slightly above the flowers to your liking so that they peek out in a charming way. Et voilà!
