Colour palette 2 of the SENSE trend includes Pastel colours in the foreground. The use of lilac tones, in combination with soft green and white, as well as the retention of soft textures, offer numerous design possibilities for timeless and fascinating workpieces.
For her design, Victoria chose the lavender and green cord with wire "Rauris" and the Cord with wire "Wick thread mica" in white. These colours and products are characterised by their balancing effect and are able to harmoniously combine cool and warm elements.
The combination of these cords and Flowers in colours matching those of Sense 2 a Noble, calming atmosphere which is particularly effective in any room.
Step by step
Step 1:
Shaping the vine wire
For the altar rug you need 4 x 2 metre long vine wires. You then take these pieces of vine wire in duplicate.
Step 2:
Place the trellis wire in the mesh
To be able to wrap the altar rug, you first need to fix the pieces of vine wire in place. To do this, take the cords and twist them a little. Then thread the vine wires through so that one side of each vine wire is at the bottom and the other side is at the top. Do this with all 4 pieces.
Step 3:
Wrap, wrap, wrap
Now you have reached the main part. The rug is made by twisting the cords further and further and always fixing them in place at the vine wires. Twist the wire several times to secure it.
Step 4:
Moulding the carpet
In the penultimate step, the altar carpet is carefully shaped. The wire remnants at the ends are cut off precisely and the protruding parts are carefully bent in. This gives the carpet its final, clean appearance and makes it ready for use.
Step 5:
Decorate
Finally, you can decorate the rug with delicate flowers to give it an additional, elegant touch. In this way, the rug shines in its perfect form and becomes a stylish highlight.
