Corn yellow GE06
Light ochre yellow GE12
For the first vasewhich we present here in the step-by-step instructions, we have combined the colours salmon red and vintage orange. The Salmon red of the sheep's wool felt "Dreamer" is a lively, cheerful colour that makes this Easter decoration shine. The woollen cord "Smartfaden" in Vintage orange is a subtle, warm colour that adds a touch of elegance to Easter vases. For the second vase you can Corn yellow and a light ochre yellow combine. Corn yellow is a bright, fresh colour. Combined with the delicate ochre yellow, your workpiece in this combination is guaranteed to put you in a good mood.
You are completely flexible in terms of colours and can of course choose what you like best. As you can see, we have also worked with the white Dreamer felt. We offer Wool cords in matching colours for all Dreamer feltsso that you can give free rein to your creativity.
Step by step
Step 1:
Fastening the felt sheathing
Take the felt roll and wrap the felt strip once around your vase to quickly and easily determine the right length. Let the two ends of the felt overlap slightly so you can be sure that there is no unsightly gap. Now attach a piece of double-sided adhesive tape vertically to the vase and secure one end of the felt strip with it.
Step 2:
Wrap with woollen thread
Wrap the felt ribbon around the vase. If you want, you can attach the second end with a dot or two of hot glue. However, tying it in place with the smart thread is also sufficient. To determine the length of the thread, wrap it around your vase 5 to 6 times and then cut it with the scissors. Now wrap the thread criss-cross around the felt to create a loose look.
Step 3:
Fill with flower bulbs
Fill the vase slightly above the lower felt edge with flower bulbs. You can use any material you like to fill the vase: Pieces of wood, stones, cones, etc. We advise you to choose natural material that harmonises with the other decorative material. To achieve the height at which we want to place the inlay bowl, we have filled the vase with paper. Make sure that the paper does not protrude beyond the felt band and is not visible from the outside.
Step 4:
Prepare the inlay bowls
Take a suitable sized glass inlay bowl. You won't be able to see the bowl from the outside later due to the felt coating. Fill the bowl with the cress, or grow the cress in the container itself. You can also use other green material, such as moss.
Step 5:
Decorating and placing eggs
Take the blown-out eggs and decorate them with goose feathers. You can steal a few feathers from the Dreamer felt if you don't have any feathers to hand. Place the feathers loosely on the eggs or fix them in place with a dot of hot glue. Carefully place the eggs on the cress meadow: The greenery makes your vase look a bit like an Easter nest!
Et voilá!
Your first vase is ready! Your work of art will look even better in company: decorate a few more vases to make your shop window or Easter table a real feast for the eyes. For example, place two vases of the same size on top of each other and secure them with adhesive tape. This way, you can also work with fresh spring flowers such as tulips or spring bulbs in the top vase. The transition between the vases is well hidden under the "Dreamer" sheep's wool felt covering.
