Clay pot in fuchsia, green, yellow

This clay pot is painted with acrylic colours in delicate light green and sunny yellow painted. To give the pot a playful touch, Lily fuchsia red "Stylo" wool cords artfully placed around the edge with a wire centre. The result is a summery and colourful work of art for the garden or patio.

  1. Utensils: To create this flower pot you will need: colourful acrylic paints, clear varnish for sealing, brushes in two sizes, "Stylo" wool cords with wire core, colourful wool yarn "wick thread", scissors and a hot glue gun.
  2. Make bows: Lily has cut off several approx. 20 cm long pieces of the fuchsia red "Stylo" cord and formed them into small loops. She fixed the "Stylo" loops with a "wick thread" wool thread in a contrasting colour - in this case yellow - to create a cheerful and colourful atmosphere.
  3. Colourful woollen bows: Lily has tied the "Stylo" loops in vibrant fuchsia red together with light yellow, brick red and apple green versions of the "wick thread" wool cord.
  4. Glue the loops in place: Lily attaches the finished loops to the top edge of the coloured flower pot in a row. The individual loops touch each other. The ends can be bent into any shape thanks to the wire core in the "Stylo" cord.

Flower pot in orange-red

Whether as an impressive upcycling of an old flower pot or simply as an upgrade for a simple terracotta pot: strong acrylic colours give both old and new clay pots a cheerful, summery touch. Lily Beelen has painted this pot with soft woollen cords in various shades of red, orange and pink artistically decorated.

  1. Loop by loop: For this pot too, Lily first makes all the loops and then fixes them around the flower pot with the hot glue gun. The loops sit a little lower than in the first version, which creates a loose, individual overall look when combining several pots.
  2. ConnectIn this design, Lily has tied the top ends of the bows together with colourful "wick thread" cords. The individual loops can be bent and draped as desired thanks to the wire inside.
  3. Harmony with rampion: The colours of the wool cords harmonise perfectly with the multifaceted play of colours of the lantana flowers, which have found their summer home in this flower pot. The colourful potpourri of these cheerful mood colours radiates an inviting and lively atmosphere.

Pot with many, many colourful "Stylos"

Lily Beelen also transforms these pots with colourful Acrylic paint and fluffy "Stylo" sheep's wool felt in good-mood suppliers. The summery, colourful pots perfectly reflect the colours of your plants. With small accents, they give the overall picture that little bit extra.

  1. Utensils: Different, colourful acrylic paints and harmonising "Stylo" wool cords are the starting point for this flower pot upcycling. Plus a paintbrush, hot glue gun and scissors - that's all you need for these summery clay works of art.
  2. Snip-snip: For this enchanting version of the "Lily Pots", Lily Beelen first painted the clay pots. She then cut lots and lots of little "Stylo" snippets from the different coloured wool cords.
  3. Glue down wool scrapsThe small, colourful pieces of wool look like overflowing water. This impression is created when they are attached irregularly to the pots with a hot glue gun.
