Step by step

Step 1:
Cutting the felt to size

Take a pair of scissors and cut the rolled out felt into pieces 15 cm long, which you then cut in half. Then cut the pieces into petal shapes - you can use the photo as a reference.

Step 2:
Attach wire

Next, grab the wire and cut it into small pieces. On the straight side of the previously cut out petal shapes, thread the wire through the centre of the "Dreamer" sheep's wool felt so that it is not visible from either side.

Step 3:
Attaching the lotus leaves
Before you start working with the hot glue gun, you need to lay out the "Organic" felt ribbon by crossing it over. Then you can apply the hot glue to the wire of the prepared felt pieces.

Step 4:
Arranging

Now attach the petals to the "Organic" felt ribbon by working from the outside inwards. Make sure that you attach the felt pieces using the herringbone technique.

Step 5:
Bending the petals

Arrange the felt pieces several times around the "Organic" felt ribbon. Once you have created several layers of flowers, shape the petals so that they look slightly curved - just like the real lotus flower.

Step 6:
Final touches

To make the gaps even more stable and give them a fuller look, you can glue the remains of the cut petals in between. With a little embellishment, the flower can now be used to embellish gift packaging!
