Colours and materials

The pastel-coloured version of ROOTS reduces the colour saturation of the main colour palette and focuses on products that have a slightly softer texture, while still retaining the trendy element of roughness.
For this workpiece, the Wool cord «Dochtfaden» in blue and the Smart thread" woollen cord in white used. The woollen cord provides a Stylish and powerful accentuationwhile the woollen cord Subtle, elegant details is added. This combination of colours and textures gives the piece a balanced and sophisticated touch.
The Echeveria lilacina brings with her delicate shades of purple one Subtle elegance while the Lilium orientalis strong, elegant flowers adds. The Dry material complements the arrangement with natural texture and long-lasting beauty. Together, these plants create a harmonious and appealing composition.
Step by step
Step 1:
Attach nails to the board
For the first step, attach nails in a spiral shape to a round board. Place as many nails on the board until you are at approximately the same height as the very first nail in the second row. This arrangement forms our basic framework and serves as the basis for the rest of the design.

Step 2:
On your marks, get set, go!
The next step is a bit tricky: you start to stretch the woollen cord "wick thread". Fix the cord to the first nail and pull it to another nail, here it is the 11th nail. Then pull the cord back to the second nail. Then run the cord from the second nail to the nail directly after the nail from the first round, which is the 12th nail. Continue in this way until you have tied in all the nails. Make sure that the cord runs tightly and evenly to create a harmonious pattern.
Step 3:
Stretch further
In the next step, repeat the process with the "smart thread" woollen cord. This time you also start at the first nail and stretch the cord to another nail. However, instead of turning for the first time at the 11th nail, make the first turning point earlier, here at the 9th nail. Make sure that the cord runs tightly and evenly to create an attractive pattern.

Step 4:
Decorate and you're done!
In the final step, decorate the workpiece with flowers and dry material. Arrange the flowers skilfully and make sure that they are harmoniously combined with the cord and string. Add the dry material to add extra texture and colour. These finishing details will give your project a stylish and personal touch.
