The warm earth tones of the mocha brown, sand brown and chestnut brown in Combination with the radiant white and the green accents give this Easter nest a natural and harmonious effect. The colours symbolise a renewal of spring and create a cosy atmosphere that is perfect for Easter.

The soft Felting wool "Lunte" made from 100 % genuine new sheep's wool not only looks super fluffy, it also feels that way and so will your Easter nest. With the Smart thread" woollen cord you can also conjure up a little texture in the chunky wool. If you keep both in soft shades of brown, such as mocha brown and sandy brown, your nest will blend in perfectly with nature. As an alternative to Chunky Wool, you can also use our RAW" woollen cord use.

Fresh orchids and roses in delicate shades of white and beige complete the spring-like look of your Easter nest. You can also get creative with Easter eggs and feathers.

Step by step

Step 1:
Wrap everything

The first thing to do: Wrap it! Wrap your "Lunte" felting wool with the "Smartfaden" wool cord. Make sure that there is always some space in between and that the "Lunte" felting wool remains nice and fluffy. Alternatively, you can also use the "RAW" wool cord. Then take your basket frame, put a small dab of glue in the centre and start wrapping your "Lunte" felt wool around it in waves.

Step 2:
Wrapping and gluing

Whenever you reach a branch of your wickerwork frame, take your hot glue stick and stick the felt wool "Lunte" to it. This way, nothing can slip and the Easter nest stays firmly in place.

Step 3:
Fixing Chunky Wool

Once you have reached the top with your felting wool "Lunte", cut it off and glue the end to your basket. Make sure that you let the wool run inside a little and glue it there. This will keep the outside of your basket clean and you won't see any traces of glue.

Step 4:
Prepare the decorative bowl

Now take your small decorative bowl and your hot glue gun. Go around the bowl once with the glue.

Step 5:
Attach felt

Cut the single-coloured felt into a strip about 2 cm long. Attach this to the top edge of your decorative bowl where you previously applied the glue.

Step 6:
Fasten in the basket

Next, place your decorative bowl in your Easter nest. It doesn't necessarily have to be right in the centre. In this case, it might even look a little more exciting if you place it slightly off-centre.

Step 7:
Decorate

The final step is decorating. Here you can let your creativity run wild again and place the flowers in the wet sponge as you like. Add your white, blown-out eggs and feathers. And the Easter nest is perfect.
