Macramé lantern turquoise

This turquoise-coloured macramé lantern exudes a light and airy feel and adds a summery atmosphere to any garden, balcony or terrace. The offset pattern and the playful wooden bead emphasise the vintage and hippie flair of this summery candle holder. And this is how it works:

  1. Tie loose square knots: Lily starts by wrapping the lantern with double-looped, turquoise "Rauris" wool cord. She then attaches loops of cord all round using the anchor stitch knot.
  2. Twice in a circle: She places the first cross knot a little way apart and ties the others around the glass. In the second row, she joins two threads from neighbouring knots, creating a staggered pattern.
  3. Mould rings: Below the second row, Lily forms a ring with wire cord and winds the ends in a spiral on the underside of the ring.
  4. Decorate with wooden beads: As a special finish, Lily adds several turquoise wooden beads with a little wire for the finishing touch.

Candlelight in a pink look

This soft pink macramé lantern has the effect of a gentle touch of romance and creates a graceful ambience. The interplay between the loose macramé work and the soft candlelight creates a harmonious and inviting atmosphere that invites you to relax and dream.

  1. Start with anchor stitch knot: Lily also loops the "Rauris" wool cord in pink twice around the top edge of the glass and starts with the anchor stitch knot as a base.
  2. Continue working with cross notes: She then ties three rows of square knots, leaving a small space between the rows of knots.
  3. Knotting and bending: The wire in the woollen cord allows the macramé to be bent into a harmonious hemispherical shape at the end.

Candle jar with orange macramé

The strong orange colour Nuance of this macramé provides the Lively and energising radiance of the lantern. The warm glow of the candlelight shimmering through the macramé creates a cosy atmosphere. This lantern is a fantastic eye-catcher and a revitalising element for any outdoor area.

  1. Anchor stitches in turn: Lily first cut several cords to the right length and attached the knotting thread with the anchor stitch.
  2. Go wide with a square knot: Due to the loose knotting technique, the macramé expands towards the bottom and is held in a conical shape by the wire in the woollen cord.
